The evolution of the internet has led to unimaginable growth in various parts of our lives. The space has been opened up for a range of activities to take place virtually. The eCommerce and digital marketing sectors are the biggest beneficiaries, as they came into existence due to the rapid growth of network connectivity. Today, almost every big business has exploited various properties of the internet to drive their growth.

Many eCommerce systems have emerged on the internet and provide consumers with different services to help them optimize their retail operations from virtually anywhere. Many eCommerce platforms are still in the process of adopting a holistic marketing approach, however, meaning they offer standard websites with advertising content and information to customers, without the ability to process transactions.

The implications of having an eCommerce website that not only helps you with advertising and marketing but also with operations bring us to the question, “Which platform should we choose?”

In this article, we’ll compare and contrast Shoplazza, a new and controversial eCommerce platform, with Shopify to evaluate what each eCommerce system has to offer its customers.

Shoplazza

Shoplazza is a leading eCommerce services company. They are well known for providing customized solutions to help merchants create and maintain websites, and . They have built upon decades of eCommerce and electronic network expertise to provide their clients with the finest international online retail solutions.

They provide SaaS (software-as-a-service) capabilities that help users start, run, and develop B2C and DTC (Direct to Customer) enterprises with little to no coding required. Shoplazza was created in 2017 and now employs over 150 developers and over 60 experienced consultants to assist customers in achieving their retail objectives.

Shoplazza offers several services to help customers get set up and prepared to sell, such as:

How does Shoplazza stack up against the more well-known Shopify?

In the eCommerce arena, Shoplazza and Shopify are two competing brands. Let’s have a look at how they match up:

Shopify

Shopify is a straightforward eCommerce platform, but it doesn’t offer much flexibility. Let’s take a look at its advantages and disadvantages.

Merits

  • Website builder with drag-and-drop functionality.
  • Site loading time is quick.
  • Trial version for 14 days.
  • A wide range of themes.

Demerits

  • Apps and functionality are paid for separately (via add-ons).
  • The use of many applications may cause your website to slow down;
  • The multi-currency option is only available to Shopify Plus customers;
  • Difficult to use for content management;
  • Moving store content out of Shopify can be difficult;
  • Lacks flexibility and customization.

Shoplazza

Shoplazza brings a host of innovations to the eCommerce arena, as well as unique features that rival the finest in the industry:

Merits

  • Automated dropshipping system and global supply chain services;
  • Services and programs that are entirely free to use and modify;
  • Pages that are SEO-friendly and load quickly;
  • Features that are simple to use and set up;
  • Non-eCommerce users can use this online system as a blog or portfolio site.

Demerits

  • Only a 7-day free trial is available;
  • Blogging styles are limited;

Personal experience

Business growth needs to have a successful eCommerce portal. As more customers move to online shopping, eCommerce technologies will be required to make your products or services available to them. Personally, I’d vote for Shoplazza as it beats Shopify in terms of its flexibility, response time, updates, customization, and cost.

Shoplazza provides a wide range of tools to help you build your business with ease, including streamlined software and professional tech support. Also, if you’re a blogger with no prior programming knowledge, then Shoplazza may be preferable. The key benefit is that they are less expensive than Shopify in the long run. I hope you’ve found this article insightful, and that it helped to address some of your concerns.
